I notice some dissension in the ranks. The thought of higher taxes isn’t one That galvanizes citizens, the fun In taxing being government’s; the thanks For taking on the loss is all our own. But this is far more sober than a call To take the monied rich, and put the fall On businessmen who marginize, and hone The art of hoarding wealth to a degree That’d make a noble coil back in shame. The theft of working men is not the aim Of high and greater taxes, but a free And greater middle class. And so they all, The Left, the Right, declare, before a fall.
