The White House is asking top generals for several options for dealing with the escalating situation in Syria.
The Syrians are better still, by far,
Against Bashar than any there before
Had been against the former, Hafez. More
Had perished in the violence and char-/ring
Gas, and in the bullets, or the tanks,
Or steamrollers, that followed all the rest
And flattened Hama, all at the behest
Of Hafez, than had perished in the ranks
Of all the men rebelling at the rule
Of his less-able son. Bashar is not
His father, and his power hasn’t got
Intelligence, or knowledge to be cruel
When necessary only. He is weak,
And power will a vacuum ever seek.
The end is now beginning. Enter in
The USA, and none of us will win.
