The fear is that the storm is getting big, And big enough to match the one before, That sent the big and easy to the floor, Unsettled when the wreckage from the rig Had reached the weary suffering ashore. At least the Florida coast is better built, Not having several incidents to wilt The will to keep resisting anymore. I’m hoping that it turns, and fizzles out, Enough to give us rain, we here within The heart of barren Texas, where a thin, Evaporating line is keeping drought Away from us. Their danger is our gain. A shame it takes a storm to give us rain.
