I wonder how the law can make amends For letting go suspicion, if it tends To blur the very freedom we desi-/re, Putting Bigger Brother on alert, But also giving leave for any hate To slaughter innocence. So very late Is hindsight, and I’m guessing, were I hurt By murder – racist murdering – alas, I’d gladly give the government a pass To give its watching power bigger mass.
