To Err is Human vs. Do No Evil

The motto “do no evil” doesn’t work
As well as we’d have hoped. The human part
Of any great endeavor is an art
Of taking greater care that any quirk
That pushes us to recklessness, abuse
Of power, or desire to be god
Is kept the hell away. I mightn’t laud
The motto, in respect to recent use
Of private information, but, alas,
To err is very human. So it goes,
And any businessmen that may impose
A limit to ambition are a class
That doesn’t yet exist, and I surmise,
That, like all other folks, they’re full of lies.
