More Scrutiny, and Fatigue

I’m betting other things are going on
Within the world, or these United States.
I’d rather here ignore the many fates
Put forward for my country – that Iran
Will be a future war zone, that in Greece
A new collapse is brewing, that the men
Who fired Bain employees will again
Be firing Americans to fleece
The poorer middle class. I cannot care.
I wonder if dictatorships arise
By pumping all the people full of lies
And wearing out their sanity. Beware
The long, fatiguing weary of an ad
Declaring everything to come is bad.
