Mexican Standoff

Scalia’s giving hints of quite a fight
With enemies of gun control.  Alas,
I’m well and willing here to give a pass
To efforts at debating.  Any light
And wisdom in opinion here is shot
By anyone obsessing over crime,
Or over evil governments, the chime
Of ash, and dead Davidians, and naught
But killing and gestapo in the air.
It’s quite a worthy fear, but any hope
That people will be rational, to cope
With any new calamity, or fair,
To come to an arrangement is a flaw
In thinking we can satisfy a draw.
